Chapter 70

Kamari's Point of View

By the time we woke up to leave, the sun barely cracked across the mountain range behind the house. Nolan had a headache the size of the sun, thanks to last night's endeavors. Whilst I was still reeling from what Malakai had told me.

It was odd to consider his proposal. Thus I promised to think more about it once I got home.

Neither Nolan nor Zayan might find it substantial but apparently, I owed it to everyone involved to be honest with them.

Something had also shifted last night with Malakai. But it wasn't something my mind could focus on right now.

"You look like death," I commented as Nolan finally stood up and moved to the bathroom.

The second I spoke, he froze. Looked back at me with wide eyes. He blinked. Blinked again and decided to rub his eyes with his fists.

"Did you sleep in my bed?" He groaned, voice almost completely gone from the cotton mouth.

At least I had my memory intact. Thanks to a whole lot of water and four aspirins before I craw
