Tyler abruptly stopped talking as I entered his room, and his expression made it clear that he didn't want me to overhear the conversation. I continued to stare at him until he ended the call.

"Who was that?" I asked.

"Ava and..." He paused.

"What does she want from you that you don't want me to know?" I sat on the bed, leaning my back against it, while keeping my eyes fixed on Tyler, who continued to gaze at me.

"She wants to know the truth. She believes you fabricated what you said at the event."

"This is the right time to let her know the truth. Unfortunately, both of us are now in the same situation. I have not seen my dad and she too had not known her dad. Please, tell her the truth." I averted my gaze from him.
