Surprised gift from a stranger

Charlotte's pov

I watched Tyler as he went to the door to see who was knocking. None of us were expecting a visitor, and I doubted if Ava would come to see us since she was very angry with me to the point that she had decided not to answer my calls, no matter how many times I dialed her number. It's so frustrating, as she's been my only friend in this city.

"Hi..." I could hear Tyler saying to the person outside the door. If it was someone he or I knew, he would have added their name. He paused, waiting for the person to respond and at the same time, I positioned my head so that I could hear what they were saying.
