CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE

“A p-portal?” Alex asked confused.

What did a portal have to do in the discussion they were having? 

“Angela and the bandits have been training to enter a portal for two days.” Actually two weeks. “You are ready to enter a portal.”

“A portal to where?” Alex asked anxiously.

He was tired of standing. He needed to rest his body and get some sleep too but he was confused for a moment. When he was in the tower it was late afternoon and when he got to Persimmon it was late at night. 

“Remember, a day in Persimmon is a week in the real world. There will also be a time difference. You need to rest. Let me take you to your room.”

“But what about my question?” He was eager to know.

“I will answer it on the way.” Leila began to move and Alex followed. “Did your mother tell you why she wanted to kill them?”

He didn't rem
