Chapter 29: A Rampage

ELVA’S POV

I don’t know why, but I found my feet sweeping into motion the moment I saw Darian.

“Darian!” I cried from the distance between us.

He spread his arms out and we clashed into a tight hug. He lifted me and spun me around in the air before bringing me down. Then, we hugged once again, to the surprise of everyone in the room, including Father.

“I like your veil,” he said to me.

“Er…”

But he was quick to notice the reason for that.

“I know,” he said, “I can’t wait to see your beautiful face once they’re gone.”

“Darian… I missed you so much!” I cried, hugging him again.

“Phew!” he heaved out a sigh of relief, “I almost thought you’d never talk to me again.”

“Save that part for later. I’ll still punish you for what you did,” I frowned playfully, “but for now, I’m glad that you’re back.”

“Actually, I came here because there was something I needed to negotiate with your Father,” he said, his countenance switching to a serious one.

“What is that?” I asked him.
