"Why are you so surprised to see me?" he asked. "I told you I'm coming today, right? Did you forget?"

He turned to head back to his car when I called out to him. He faced me with a questioning look.

"What? Is there a problem?" He walked towards me. He reached out his hand to touch me, but I didn't accept it.

"Let's not go today. I'm not feeling well."

Ignoring my rejection of his hand, he touched my forehead. "You don't have a fever. But if you're feeling unwell, we can go there next time. Wait, I'll buy you some medicine."
