31: Friendly Advise

“Don’t you think it’s a good chance to get to Benedict’s good side?” I whispered to Lucius because I could see that our plan was working out well.

Lucius narrowed his eyes a bit. He stared at me for a moment before he answered a hard “No.”

“Why? Look, he’s biting the trap. This is our opportunity. Let’s just say I’d stay with him for a few days to think about our relationship. After that, you can always make a way to get me back.”

“Not now, Maddy,” Lucius dismissed the idea. “Back off, Leandro, if you want your men to leave alive. I’m a little merciful but not when I’m in a foul mood.”

Lucius dragged me out of the club. His butler was waiting outside and opened the car right away when he saw us.
