Chapter 30 - Breaking Ralph's heart!

News of the old king’s demise had spread faster than I anticipated and by lunchtime, we had received quite a few guests already. The ones I appreciated the most were the pixies who took us in when we hid from the old king’s army. It was incredible to see them so soon, and they were all very happy with what I had accomplished in just a couple of days.

You could feel it in the air. The pack was different. They were more relaxed. Females could walk around freely without having males shouting at them all the damn time. There was still the odd incident, but Ralph made sure our warriors kept a close eye on things. It would take time for things to completely change. But I had hope.

The rest of the rogue pack joined us in the late afternoon, and I made sure that most of them had a place to stay for the coming weeks.
