Everly POV
As I open my eyes, I close them immediately. My head is banging, and opening my eyes means my brain has to work, and it is too painful. I move my hands slowly, and they stop moving as I feel I am restrained by something. I frown as the pain turns into sickness. My baby. Oh God, my baby. I force myself to open my eyes, and I am engulfed in darkness. I can’t see anything, and in a way, I am grateful because I don’t know how I would manage light with the pain I am feeling.
I try to move my hands, and this time I can hear chains as I pull on them. I try to sit up, but I can’t.
