"I can't believe we are attending the Royal Hunting Ceremony!" Kayla squealed as she sat on Heyli's bed. Melodie was helping Heyli pack up for the trip and Heyli was going through a catalog. She was seated at her vanity table and looking quite worried. "When is Nina going to arrive?" Kayla shrugged. "She said she was going to come so let's hope she actually does." Heyli sighed. "Have you noticed the strained relationship between your sister and Loki lately?" Loki asked as he stood in front of the car they were going to be leaving in. Athena was seated inside the car already and she poked her head out to see what he was talking about. Heyli was walking to the bus with Kayla and Melodie as she had decided to go with her friends instead of following the Royal entourage. They were talking quite freely and she searched for Loki. He was speaking with one of the warriors. "What did you notice?" Athena finally asked. "They've not been talking a lot. One time, I was in the living room with Heyli and Loki came in to ask if she was going to camp with them on the night before the trip. She outrightly ignored him, stood to her feet and walked out of the room. Loki didn't seem surprised. Heyli had been able to ignore the looks people were giving her but Nina seated here? That was going to be like walking into hell. She was staring directly at me and that made her uncomfortable as hell. Melodie, who had just come up behind her, saw Nina. "Oh, shit." She muttered. "Hey, Nina," Kayla greeted as she dropped into the space beside her. Nina was seated close to the window and she was going to be in the middle and it was a good thing. At least, Nina wouldn't be glaring daggers at her. "Hey, Kayla," Nina replied in the most unconcerned voice ever and now, Heyli was starting to believe she was causing a rift between the three friends. Come to look at it. Things used to run smoothly between them all before Heyli came into the book and it was actually making her feel guilty right now. Athena was asleep through out the journey. Alex had no idea why but he let her sleep on his lap as he watched the car whizz past landscapes. His mind went back to last year's hunting ceremony and how he had been unjustly awarded the prize of the third place when he should have come first just because some fraudulent people had carried out fraudulent activities. He knew it wasn't something he should be bothered about but it was Lawrence. Lawrence was his pure enemy and had used the fact that he was able to rig the votes in his favor to mock Alex. Alex had promised himself this year, he wasn't going to make that possible and he was going to make sure that Lawrence was exposed and banished from the Royal Hunting Ceremony forever. Heyli had never felt so uncomfortable her whole life. She sat by the window and tried as much as she could to distract herself by looking out of the window but she couldn't. Nina's presence made her really uncomfortable and no matter how hard Melodie tried to make her forget that Nina was actually seated by them, Heyli still felt her presence heavily. The bus behind the car Athena and Alexander sat in screeched to a halt and they both turned to see that people were talking in loud voices. "What the hell is happening?" Athena asked as she squinted. Alexander asked the driver to halt and as soon as he did, the doors were unlocked and they stepped out. They stood, watching to see what was about to happen. People were pushing out of the bus and yelling at the top of their voice for the others to get out and when they saw Melodie and Kayla holding Heyli on both arms, she went into a full blown panic.
