A SMIRK formed on Francis’ lips as he ended the call. He threw the phone on his side and sat comfortably on the couch. The sound of the reporters on the television filled the room.
He opened his television and set it on the news channel, just in case there would be breaking news about August’s sudden death.
‘I just need to wait for the good news,’ said Francis at the back of his mind. He tapped the bed using his fingers as his smile widened. ‘You will be proud of me, dad. I will make you even prouder than Richard did.’
Francis knew that Wesley would be mad at him if he ever knew about this plan, but he thought that if he could execute this perfectly, Wesley would praise him for being a good decision-maker.
