MEANWHILE, at the Wellington mansion, Wesley hurled his phone against the wall in a fit of fury. He didn’t care if his phone would be destroyed or not; he just wanted to release the madness inside him.

He had just received word from one of his people about the subsidiary acquisition, and with Jake’s pretentious innocence when he asked him about that news, his rage had yet to subside.

“That despicable bastard!” Wesley snarled through gritted teeth, pertaining to Jake. His frustration was palpable in his voice. “After all we’ve done to help him, this is how he repays us? They’re never even going to reach the top five rankings if it’s not for us!”

Wesley’s eyes darkened with an intensity that could burn through steel, and his knuckles whitened as he tightened
