Meeting Serenity

SERENITY’S POV

I feel like I’m stuck in a black void. There is nothing around me. I feel like I am floating, a weightlessness that has me suspended in space and time. I am unsure how long I have been here, but it feels like an eternity and not long all at the same time.

I can feel Artemis is with me, but she feels far away.

I don’t know what’s going on, and it’s starting to scare me.

After what feels like forever to me, I can feel myself coming back to myself.

Somewhere not far off, I hear a constant noise.

BEEP.. BEEP.. BEEP.. BEEP BEEP.. BEEP

That noise is so annoying that I try to roll away from the sound. But something pulled at my arm.

Off to my left side, I hear a chair scrape across the ground, and someone moves away. Then a door opens, muffled talking, then the door closes, then opens again a few minutes later, followed by more footsteps.

“Serenity, can you hear me? My name is Dr Richford. You are in the hospital in the Moonstone Sky pack. Squeeze my hand if you can hear me.
