Chapter 32

When I noticed Caesar approaching me while putting his phone back in his pocket, I quickly stood up from the bench, clutching my drink tightly.

"You're done?" When he was already in front of me, I asked him.

He responded, "Yes."

I nodded and merely muttered, "Okay," because I didn't know what else to say.

Caesar opened his mouth and appeared to want to speak again, but I had already beaten him to it.

"Can I go back to my room now? I was tired of strolling around the resort and wanted to lie down. You can stay if you want to." I said it quickly, despite my best efforts to smile. I'm just not sure if it's the smile Caesar saw in my face or a wry one.

Caesar looked at me closely, as if he were trying to read my mind.

I cursed quietly. I could barely keep my emotions in check at this point. Why does he have to keep staring at me like this?

With the way Caesar was staring at me, I expected him to say something or ask me a question, so I was already planning how to avoid any question
