CHAPTER I: When the Night Falls, the Sun Rises
“Hurry up Sarah or you’re going to be late!”, Sarah’s mother shouted.
“Alright Mom, I’m coming”, Sarah replied.
Sarah’s family are all dressed up for the recognition the President arranged for them, Sarah and Grace in saving the planet. They all one by one hopped in cozy in their minivan and drove to the city.

At one of the experiment rooms inside the research labs, they were checking one of the possible sources of the epidemic. At a nearby coffee shop just a few blocks away from the lab, Sarah and Grace were sitting together drinking their freshly hot brewed coffee. It was just after sunset and the two were reminiscing every single detail that had happened after they decided to stay on Earth.They couldn’t even delete the images of blood coming out of innocent civilians, children and powerless people being victimized out of the violent war evoked by the evil humanoids.The city screaming out of fear and their eyes losing all the hope—these are the people only desperate for restoration of the city, that life under the sun would go back to normal.They talked about the time they committed themselves to be of great help in saving the people from the unseen destruction, however the cost. They were thumbing back through their memory lane wishing they could possibly find an answer from the past to formulate a solution for the present.

“Luke…” Gazing from afar, Dr. Smith tries to narrow his eyes, figuring out who is that man standing at the entrance of the hallway. “Why is he calling me by my name?” thought Dr. Smith with his eyebrows raised by his great curiosity. “No one has ever called me by my name for so long… no one would dare to.” The man, wearing an all-black garment from head to toe, tries to step with his limping left foot towards the direction of Dr. Smith. The hallway was nothing but darkness succumbing every corner of the headquarters. Even the signal blockage wasn’t fixed yet. Again, experiments are being delayed because of such unexplainable disruption like this. The humanity is indeed in help due to the underlying causes of the environment's such crucial limit of expense. Extinction might be getting bigger and bigger every now and then.
