Maddie was struggling to make head and tails of it all and judging from the look on Drew's face, she was not the one suffering from that malady.

The villain seemed to have one goal, which was to destroy McBride Foods. How he seemed to be going around it was what had her tied in knots.

First, he attacked the quality of the company's products. Then he spread rumors that the company was going to bankrupt.

Reducing the quality of the company's products painted him as one who wanted to profit off the company at the detriment of the company.

On the other hand, spreading rumors about the company losing money was not going to get him as much money as just sabotaging the company's products would.
