Chapter 29 - I am you, and you are me

When Romeo and his personal guard reach the top of the small elevation, Romeo sees his family's mausoleum for the first time. He had never imagined that a mausoleum could be such a beautiful and calm place.

It looked like a small house with no windows but a gold-plated door. It was made of a black, shiny stone he didn't recognize. He touched it, and it was cold, smooth and polished like a mirror.

- It's obsidian. Some people say that when we stare into an obsidian mirror, we sometimes see what we don't want to see. Sometimes we see our future, other times our past.

Romeo looks at the guard.

- Do you believe that?

- My destined companion believed. He told me he saw that he was going to lose me forever. I never had the courage to look.

- Maybe he thought it was his destiny, his hour. I don't know how you can survive without him. – Romeo says, eyes on the stone.

- I don't even know. The only thing I know is that he would never forgive me if I let myself die.
