Loving Cousin

I grinned up at him and then went back to work. "Tell me a story."

"What do you want to know?"

"I don't know. Tell me something about your life."

"Well, I can tell you about the time Mike and I nearly got arrested, if you want."

Maybe he's not such a boy scout after all. "That's a good start," I replied, snipping off another nail.

"So, there's a planetarium on campus that shows movies on the weekends and light shows at night. One night, a bunch of us decided to go, but we thought it'd be more fun with alcohol. Mike and I stopped at our favorite liquor store to pick up some bourbon and plastic flasks."

I raised my eyebrow at him. "Why plastic?" I'd only seen the metal ones at the mall.

"Sometimes they go all TSA and wand people for events on campus. Plastic flasks won't set off their metal detectors." He shrugged.

That made sense, I thought. "Okay, go on."
