Twenty-Nine

Someone's lack of empathy is what allows people to have less of what they deserve.

                We were able to reach the next village in a matter of hours. It was probably close to night time already and yet unlike the Torrids and the Savanna, there were still some light source beyond the makeshift fences and gates. And yes, unlike the rest of the places we’ve been through, this place is surrounded a wall and a few royal guards. The walls aren’t that secure, that I was sure. The wall, if you could call it that, was just some rusting metal fences and old metal salvage that was positioned to block outsiders, and to hide whatever it was inside.
