Fifty-One

A part of me badly wanted her to choose to help out. We'll all have difficulty training her properly with my brother's stupid alpha instinct to protect her. For, now I'm happy to help whip her into shape. It's been a while since I've done proper workouts. Jayk doesn't have a routine. His excuse is that out in the field, there is no routine. That might work for him, but I need to have some order in my life, and it's starting to look like this might be the only thing I have control over. 

"Don't try to keep up with me. Go at your own pace," I say and start a jog for her. She nods and begins her walk. 

I start slow as well. Not as slow as her but with caution. Since shifting, my movements have been slower. Tighter. The phantom pain of the shift has me guarded. I have to learn how to be in my skin again. As I work my way into a quick mile, the twins appear and start making their way over to me.
