1. A Letter From the Alpha King

Etizia's POV

I was only 17 when my heart was shattered into a million pieces. The culprit behind my broken heart was none other than a male rogue.

"I've found my mate. I'm sorry, Etizia, but we need to end things," he confessed, leaving me devastated. I had no choice but to return to my Pack – the Esquar Pack.

"Look who's back!" sneered my stepsister, Amanda. The pathetic Omega daughter who thought she could find happiness outside the Pack. But what happened? She was rejected by some nobody rogue!" Her laughter filled the house, piercing through my already wounded heart.

I paused while washing the dishes, taking a deep breath to steady myself. Today was my 18th birthday, the day I was supposed to celebrate the arrival of my wolf, Genivie. However, instead of receiving congratulations from my family, they continued to belittle me for returning home.

"They were never going to celebrate, you know. They've always despised you," Genivie whispered in my mind, offering me a small comfort amidst the chaos.

Well, I was accustomed to this situation, so I knew better than anyone that I should simply disregard Amanda's teasing.

I am the daughter of the Alpha and an Omega woman. My father was captivated by my mother's beauty and fell in love with her. Unfortunately, my mother passed away during childbirth, leaving behind a less fortunate child like me.

Ever since I was young, my father and step-siblings never treated me with respect solely because I have Omega blood running through my veins.

I endured years of verbal abuse and attacks. However, I eventually decided to escape from home and live independently in human society.

That's when I crossed paths with Timothy - a rogue who doesn't belong to any Pack. Even though he isn't my destined mate, I couldn't help but fall in love with him.

But everything took a turn when Timothy informed me that he had found his true mate. Feeling utterly pathetic, I had no other option but to return home.

And then the worst possible thing happened.

Everyone in the Pack laughed at me because a rogue had rejected me.

Amanda just wouldn't let up. "You know what? No one will ever want you as their partner," she said, her words dripping with venom. "Even if your mate does find you, I bet he'll just send you packing. It must be tough being so pathetic, huh?"

I tightened my grip on the plate in my hand, resisting the urge to hurl it at her. I wanted nothing more than to shut her up.

"But remember, she's the Alpha's daughter. Don't get yourself killed, Etizia," my wolf cautioned.

Thankfully, I had my wolf by my side to support me through moments like these.

Maybe it's because my heart shattered into dust that the mistreatment from my stepfamily no longer affects me. I could go on living like this indefinitely.

But then, one fateful night, everything changed.

Under the full moon's glow, a letter found its way to our doorstep. It was addressed to my father.

The letter read: ["Dear Alpha Quinn, I'm writing to inform you that your third daughter, Etizia, is my mate. Send her to me, or face the destruction of your Pack. Sincerely, Alpha Nox.]

Alpha Nox, the ultimate Alpha King, is the epitome of strength. He is the ruthless ruler of all Alphas, with many rumors swirling around him. And now, this man has requested my father to send me to him, claiming that I am his destined mate.

I've spent years battling against my controlling family, fighting tooth and nail to break free. But now, I'm being forced to marry this heartless beast?

"You will get married whether you like it or not!" As my father's words echoed through the room, my heart sank.

"Next week, you will marry Nox," he stated firmly, leaving no room for discussion.

I clenched my hands tightly, feeling my nails digging into my palms.

Summoning all my courage, I protested, "The Alpha is a savage creature known for his brutal nature! I've heard he has killed numerous werewolves in his Pack! Why should I be forced to marry him?"

I refused to accept my fate and desperately clung to my father's pants, begging for mercy. "Father, please! I'll do anything! Just don't let that merciless Alpha King have me! I'm not ready to die yet! Please!"

Tears streamed down my face, but it seemed like my family was determined to send me to my potential doom.

"Etizia, you should be thrilled!" my stepsister, Amanda, exclaimed.

I shot her a glare.

She approached me with a smirk and continued, "You should feel grateful! The Alpha King is the strongest Alpha. You, as an Omega blood wolf, will be his mate! I'm so envious." She chuckled after saying that.

Jealous?

Huh.

It was the other way around.

"Are you happy?" I asked. "You're happy Father will send me, and I might die."

After I said that, my father delivered a sharp slap across my cheek, causing a stinging sensation. 

"Keep that mouth of yours shut!" he exclaimed. With a forceful push, my dad tossed me aside like a worthless rag.

To them, I was nothing but repulsive garbage, unworthy of any respect or consideration.

In a low, evil tone, my father leaned in closer and whispered, "This is something you cannot avoid, Etizia. You have to marry him, or else he'll kill everyone! So, prepare for the wedding. Your mate will come here tomorrow to pick you up."

Without wasting a moment, my father signaled the guards to drag me away.

"Take this lowly Omega back to her room! But make sure not to leave any marks! The Alpha King shouldn't see his mate in her ugly state."

Surrounded by the werewolf guards, I felt utterly trapped and vulnerable. They grabbed hold of me with such force, forcefully leading me away.

As they dragged me along, my gaze remained fixed on my father and older sister, Amanda. Their faces were filled with smug grins as if they had achieved a great victory.

In frustration, I bit down on my lower lip until it started to bleed.

"Do they honestly believe they can manipulate me into saving the Pack?"

Well, I wasn't about to let that happen.

Once night fell, I would make my escape.

Yes, I had to leave here before the Alpha King arrived.
