16. "Perhaps, I was Wrong"

Etizia’s POV

I flopped down on the couch in my room.

My cheeks were still on fire.

"Why is it so warm in here?"

Even splashing cold water on my face didn't seem to cool me down, and I'm pretty sure I still look like a tomato.

Ugh.

I tilted my head back and nibbled on my lip.

The vibe earlier was just so odd.

I knew I had good communication with my husband. But for him to flash me such a sweet smile out of nowhere?

I was so awkward. We just said goodbye in front of the castle without saying a word.

"I wonder what that was all about," I whispered to myself, but there was no answer.

My heart was still racing, refusing to calm down. Nox and I are mates after all, so it's not surprising that I might feel drawn to him every now and then.

I couldn't help but fidget as his smiling face kept popping up in my mind.

I shook my head and let out a deep breath.

"Is it really impossible to against destiny?"

Nox and I were destined by the Goddess of the Moon.
