41. "No Rush"

My eyes were stung by the morning sun, causing me to let out a painful scream that seemed to resonate throughout my entire body. Every inch from my waist down to my legs throbbed with agony.

"Ugh," I moaned, hunching over with my face buried in the pillow.

"You're awake," a soothing, deep voice reverberated in my ears.

I lifted my head and caught sight of my husband, Alpha Nox, standing by the bedside without his mask.

The sunlight illuminated his dark hair as if it were attempting to penetrate the darkness. His strikingly handsome face, just as captivating as the first time I laid eyes on it, was impossible to forget.

A total heart stealer.
