89. "Stormy Night"

The night was shrouded in darkness, with thick clouds obscuring the moon and stars, creating an eerie atmosphere. The wind howled through the trees, and rain fell heavily, filling the air with a cacophony of sound.

Amidst the stormy night, Luna Jasmine was in labor.

With the power out, her room was plunged into near-total darkness. Unable to make it to the Pack's hospital in time, she had no choice but to rely on the midwife wolf as the baby was ready to arrive.

Amidst the raging storm outside, the only source of light in the room came from the flickering glow of a few scattered candles.

During a grueling hour, Luna let out a cry of pain, "Ahh!"

However, rather than pushing, she halted. She fought against it. She tensed up with each contraction, bracing herself against the agony that seemed as though a wild truck driver was ramming into her stomach.

"Lean into the pain," the midwife encouraged in a shrill voice. "You have to push more, Luna!"
