Chapter 39 Her Suspicion

This was the first time Liam had visited the place Amelia rented.

Liam frowned as he looked around. The space wasn't very large ,and the furniture on the property looked slightly worn. Compared to the interior in Riverbay Residence, this place was a dump.

"How do you even live in this place?"

Amelia cast him an odd look but answered his question anyway, "My place at Bryxton's even worse."

She had grown up there, after all.

Liam raised an eyebrow but didn't comment further. "I heard that someone attacked your uncle."

When he heard the news, he thought that Amelia would come running to him about it. She didn't have much money, after all. With Amelia around, Liam was certain that David wouldn't pay for anything he didn't have to.

His guess was partially right, but after two days of waiting around, Amelia still hadn't contacted him. Liam couldn't wait around anymore and decided to seek her out himself.

"How'd you know about that?" Amelia asked warily as she recalled what her uncle
