Chapter 28: That ‘thing’

“Rise and shine!” Micah’s voice filled my ears and my eyes were stinging from the abrupt burst of brilliant light that flooded into my room, swooshing draperies sliding to the side of my window. The burning sun rays penetrating through my close lids, immediately earning a loud groan eliciting from my throat.

“M…rning,” I mumbled half awake, slurring off the word as I rolled to my side, gripping my blanket and pulling it over my head. 

How come it is already morning? I haven’t gotten enough sleep yet, and my body is feeling heavy, along with the soreness tingling between my legs. Just then, everything dawned on me faster than the lightning speed as the last night’s event came rushing down to my senses like a fountain of cold water. My eyes shot opened and I remained rigid under my duvet, the warmth of my own breath fanning off my face as I stared on my knees that has been curled up closer to my chin. Noting the faint pink scar left by my healed wound.
