CHAPTER 13 DEVLIN'S RETURN AND A MISUNDERSTANDING

     More than a month has passed since Devlin went to the US and Ami, Rain and Mansour have not returned from the Philippines as well. It was understandable for Ami’s group because of the death of her uncle and the conclusion of the investigation regarding the disappearance of his son who turned out to be his step-son after all. Although Mabel was no longer Devlin’s temporary PA, she was the OIC for the cafe he left in her care. Before he left for the US, he hired a manager,two baristas, Fred,his accountant and a male PA who was rather quite attractive. Devlin did not count on him getting infatuated with Mabel so his departure for the US pushed through, had he known his PA would fall for her, he might have stayed. As it is, Mabel had to deal with the PA on a daily basis.
