AVA:

As a dutiful wife that I had promised to be to Damien, it was my responsibility to tell him what was going on and ask his opinion before saying anything to Audrey about moving in with us.

In my past life, I had been touched by Audrey's tears, agreed, and immediately persuaded Damien the moment she asked to move in with us after the fire accident that happened with her parents.

Then, this particular realization reminded me of the fact that I had brought this upon myself in the past.

"Alpha, could you please spare me a moment? I would like to ask you something."

Damien nodded. "Yes, I do have a moment but you must be brief as I have work to do." Damien returned, staring at the pile of papers on his desk.

I understood he was busy but I wanted to confirm the obvious.

"Uhmm, I wanted to ask you something."

"Go on with it, you need to be done in a bit. I'm busy as you can see." He spoke as though he was dismissing me.
