CHAPTER 74

AVA:

"Easy. Take it easy okay, there's no gold in there for you to want to hold it that badly." I said to Audrey while stretching the small bag towards her.

Audrey snatched the small bag all the same and I felt the need to explain things to her.

"A maid happened to be with it and I collected it. I meant to return it to you since it belongs to you." I said and she mumbled a simple "okay."

I wouldn't have suspected that anything was wrong or the bag Audrey was to arouse any form of curiosity if not for the way Audrey looked uneasy and uncomfortably shifted from one foot to another.

"Thanks for returning it then." She said and then turned away into her room and left.
