Nineteen

I had got an early dinner on the way home and I was excited to see Leon. I worried about him with me being at work and at least I could keep a proper eye on him. I held my breath as he answered the door and I smiled. He definitely looked better and he closed the door behind me, kissing my cheek.

"You alright?" He asked, taking the food off me.

"Yeah, you?" I took my shoes off, following him into the kitchen.

"I feel better that I went to the gym. But still a bit blah." I stood next to him as he dished up our dinner, handing me my plate. We sat at his kitchen table, I played about with my food for a bit, my mind racing.

"Williams has the woman's statement," I blurted out. Leon looked up at me, his face blank.

"Oh, right." He nodded.

"Erm, she said." I stopped, looking at his face. "Don't worry, you don't want to hear it." I tried to chuckle.

"No, I do." His voice was serious. I put my fork down, looking into his eyes.
