Chapter 13 : Amos' Vow

"Ngh!" Amos felt his body crumble. Hot and weak. He opened his eyes slowly.

He was still in Sera's room. Two men were talking beside him.

"If he was an ordinary human, his internal organs would have been damaged." Amos heard one of the men speak.

Amos closed his eyes, unable to move his body.

"Will he be okay?"

Amos recognized the other man's voice. It was Riel.

"He'll be fine, but make sure he takes medicine."

Amos didn't care what they were talking about. He wanted to move. But he couldn't. He saw sunlight entering the window. Does that mean he was unconscious all night?

Amos remembered Sera's strangulation. He stiffened again. That tense feeling made his body tremble. Amos saw the two men walking out of the room. But he couldn't make a sound at all.

Then Riel re-entered the room and approached him. He pressed against Amos' chest.
