A few minutes later, the village of Havenbrook was awakened from sleep by the sound of alarm bells. It was obvious that a pattern was emerging: Havenbrook was being shadowed. Eldon glanced up to see Kyra, Marcus, and a few others walk in through the open room doors. Eldon stated, "We need to talk," his voice burdened with obligation. With a somber gaze, Kyra nodded. "The power of the shadow is evident.
