Alexander's POV.

"Alpha Alexander!"

I was abruptly pulled from my early morning slumber by the sudden shout of Beta Liam, who had just rushed into the room.

Lifting my head, which was nestled on the bed beside my father, I turned it towards Beta Liam, fixing him with a glare as if demanding an explanation for the intrusion.

My father hadn't woken up yet, and it had been almost twenty-four hours since he had collapsed.

Time hung heavily in the air, marked by the persistent uncertainty surrounding his condition.

"I'm sorry, Alpha... I didn't mean to cause you any problems!" Liam bowed his head, his apology punctuated by the clenching of his fists by his sides.

The tension in the room mirrored the difficulties of the situation we found ourselves in.

I observed his demeanour for a moment, and from his actions, it was evident that he had something up his sleeves.
