Amelia’s Pov

It was so hard to believe what I was currently witnessing. How was it possible for Alexander to come all the way to the dungeon, just because he wanted to see me eat?

I stared at him for another time while he looked into my eyes as though he was searching through it for an answer. He was playing with my heart and I hated the way and manner it made me feel.

“Why the hell are you here? And why are you pretending as though you care?” I asked him angrily as I took a step backwards as though he was at the verge of hurting me.

Alexander was so unpredictable and I couldn’t say what he might be up to at the moment. I had to tread with caution and protect myself.

“I need you to eat. Inasmuch as I have no business with you, I wouldn’t want you to die in my hands”, he said and rolled his eyes at me while I scoffed and shook my head in disdain.

“And do you think I care about that? At this rate, I would be so glad if I’m dead already!” I said defiantly as tears threatened to pour out
