HUNDRED AND ONE

Mary shuddered even more, her heart beat even faster as she felt him hold unto her arm and prevented her from bending down. He pulled her up so that she could look into his face. Mary tried to keep her eyes down so that she would not have to look into his face.

"You don't have to bother yourself okay?" He said softly, but Mary felt he was being sarcastic. "I would just simply ask another maid to clean it up" he still held unto her hand.

Mary was surprised for a while.

"You don't look okay" he said again. He took her hand and led her away from the chaos in the kitchen. "Are you not happy to see me?" He asked with a smile on his face, a smile that looked more like a smirk. "Or did anyone annoy you before my arrival?" He asked again.

Mary did not know what to make out of the whole situation, but she told herself that she was probably over acting and she should try to act normal. She tried to paint a smile on her face, but she failed woefully. What was supposed to come out as a sm
