Ibukun adjusted her hold on her school bag handle as she walked alongside her two friends as Fikayo started talking.
“I think Lashe has juju” Fikayo said and Ibukun turned to her as she burst into laughter.
“Juju? Fikayo you are crazy” Ibukun said and Blessing burst into laughter.
“Why?” Blessing asked.
“How did he know that we were finishing his exam today and arranged his concert to be today?” Fikayo asked and Ibukun scoffed.
“Didn’t you know that DUL finished their exams the day before yesterday? Girl you are seriously over thinking” Ibukun replied as Fikayo pursed her lips.
“Fikayo said Lashe is using juju o” Blessing teased a she and Ibukun burst into laughter.
“Better stop laughing if I give you your eulogy” Fikayo threatened as they entered the bus.
“Give me let me hear you when it’s not as if I don’t I know your own” Blessing replied as she sat down.

Ibukun felt her phone vibrate in her pockets and she quickly brought it out. Fikayo swallowed her saliva as the body guards led them to a room. Ibukun instantly walked towards her friends and wore an apologetic smile.“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you guys” Ibukun said slowly as Lashe walked up to them.“Hello, you are Fikayo and you are Blessing right?” Lashe asked as Fikayo looked at him in surprise.“You know us?” Fikayo asked in shock and Lashe laughed.“Don’t you think it’s weird if I don’t know my girlfriend’s friends?” Lashe asked and Blessing chuckled.“It’s really hard to believe this” Blessing said and Ibukun smiled.“I’m sorry ehn. Have you forgiven me?” Ibukun asked as Fikayo sighed.“It all makes sense now. How you were unresponsive when your idol got a girlfriend. Your mood when his grandma was ill and died. It all makes sense now” Fikayo said as she turned to Lashe.“Welcome to the geng Lashe” Fikayo said as she punched his shoulder playfully while Blessing and Ibukun looked at her in surprise.

Ibukunoluwa’s breathing could be heard in the room as her eyes were wide open under the blankets. The door opened and the light from the passageway shone slightly into the room. Bright wallpapers could be seen in the spacious bedroom.“She sleeps quite quickly these days” her mom said as she closed the door. She didn’t notice the sneakers sticking out at the edge of the bed in the dark.Ibukun waited till she could no longer hear her mom footsteps before slowly counting to 100.“……..34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39” Ibukun whispered slowly.“………… 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100” Ibukun finished as she threw the blankets off her head. Ibukun hurriedly buttoned up her white shirt. She picked a blue tie from the drawer and skilfully knotted it. Grabbing her school bag and the jacket on top of the bed, she hurried out of the room.She rushed down the stairs and quickly sat at the table. Ibk walked into the sitting room and slumped into a chair. She pursed her lips upon seeing Toluwanimi.“I thought you were resuming today” Ibukun said as she sat down on the chair.“I just went to register, check out my room, arrange my stuff and all” Tolu replied and Ibk smiled.“The house will get quieter when you leave. I miss you already” Ibukun said as she stood up and hugged Tolu.“I have some news for you though” Tolu said and Ibk withdrew from the hug and sat down. She removed her sneakers and her pop socks before turning to Tolu.“News for me? What is it about?” Ibukun asked as she placed her socks into her sneakers and placed them neatly beside the chair. She removed her jacket and placed it on the arm chair.“I have news about Lashe” Tolu said and Ibukun turned sharply to her making Nifemi and Tosinmile burst into a fit of laughter.“Lashe? What about him?” Ibukun asked.“He’s going to be attending DUL. We are even in the same department”
