I readied myself to roll out of bed after having nightmares of the night I murdered McKenna's parents. It wasn't supposed to go that far. I just wanted to get information to use against Queen Antionette. After all, she had taken so much from me starting with the heart of my mate.

"What's going on in your pretty little head, woman?" Vincent asked sliding in the bed behind me. "I was attempting to get out of this bed," I groaned. "Your parents are here," he whispered. "Why?"
