CHAPTER 59: UNTIMELY GOODBYE

Alpha King Lincoln's POV

"My gift, it's more vivid because my grandmother is no longer with us in this life! She knew...she knew she was going to die here. That is an awful burden. I do not deserve her gift. It is not a gift at all. It's a torturous curse! I would give it all back, goddess!" Swan cried aloud.

I looked over at McKenna as a reflex realizing she had been frozen in place the moment she touched Gertrude. Whatever she saw upset her. McKenna sprinted deeper into the forest with Jubilee hot on her heels. I had to fight the urge to follow after.

"She will be okay," Katie said knowingly. "I wasn't..." I started to lie but she threw me a "don't try to deny it" look. "I know it's hard to see her happy with her mate when you feel so deeply for her but you must. Let her have the happiness she deserves, your grace," Katie said walking to join the others.
