Chapter 34: Anxiety

Joan kept her eyes on the road expecting to see the man she had met at the baseball match the previous week. It was absurd to think that she would just see him standing at a walk way or some junction but her anxiety took absolute control of her. She wanted to see him but she had not thought of what to tell him. He would tease her for going after him definitely. It was on a weekend and she had spent so much time at work. She had just finished college and well,she got a job as a cashier in a grocery store. There had been much sales that evening and her working time had been extended. It did not bother her since she did not look forward to seeing anyone after work hours plus,it was extra cash she thought to her self. At a bus stop she could swear that her eyes were not deceiving her. She saw him again. He was holding a newspaper and clunched a small bad under his arm. He looked ridiculous. More like some elderly man far different from the attitude he gave her the last time they had talked
