The last two days have been interesting. Emery has been staying in the basement of the house. We turned it into a game room, but it has a space that we converted into an extra bedroom if needed. My precious jewel is still pissed at Emery’s father, but she isn’t as murderous as the first day Emery showed up. I admit that Riley, Luke, Arlo, and I were becoming more pissed as Emery told her story. Emery has become more relaxed around us, which I think is good. When she first walked in, I could tell she felt like running once she saw Luke, Arlo, and me. I did hear the two of them talking the following day, and Emery was teasing her about being my girl. I felt that my precious jewel was blushing, and I was right as I walked in and saw the two of them. They had both gone silent as they looked at me. I walked by them, kissing my precious jewel as I filled a cup with coffee. She was almost as red as a tomato.

“Jack wants all of us to come over and have dinner.” Sapphire says.
