Sapphire

It hurt so fucking much. Even turning my head hurt way more than it should. Thankfully when I opened my eyes, the light wherever I was had been dimmed. I couldn’t have dealt with a bright light right now. I noticed it smelt weird, but I couldn’t fathom why. I felt something slip between my fingers. I start to move but stop when my whole body protests the movement. I try to sit up, which causes me to cry out. I let out a few of my favorite Aussie swear words which caused a deep chuckle. I know that laugh.

“Hey, my precious jewel, stay still.” Dylan tells me.

“Dylan?” I huff.

“Yes, I am here, and so is Riley. Don’t make any quick movements. You are going to be sore for a while. Do you remember what happened?” Dylan asks.

“Yes, we were driving, and then I heard a loud bang, screaming, and nothing. A car hit us.” I reply.
