Janessya offered to accompany me tonight, but I knew I needed to do this alone. I don't know if Coalan has anyone with him, but I would like it to be the two of us. We had spoken a bit when the girls were in the hospital, but we both agreed it was not the time and place for a discussion like the one we would have tonight. I was surprised to see he had chosen an upscale restaurant for us to meet at. I have eaten here before with Dylan and his family. It is one of my favorites, but it is only where you sometimes eat. I pull up into the valet area. One of them opens my door for me, which is weird, but I step out and hand them my keys. The hostess sees me and practically runs over. I tell her that I am here to meet someone and who that is, and she shows me to the private room that Coalan has booked. Thank god, I didn’t want to have this conversation out on the restaurant's main floor. I pull the chair out, sit down and scoot closer. Coalan watches me with a smile on his face.
I watch Mateo swear in Japanese as he paces around the room. Thankfully his mother is not here. She would have grabbed him by his ear and told him not to speak like that in her house. I am leaning against the wall as he continues his temper tantrum. He has every right to be pissed. I have no idea who those fuckers were that tried to follow Sapphire, but they caused an accident. Thankfully she and the others in the car weren’t seriously injured. Not only did the vehicle she was in crash the car that swerved to get out of their way had a mother with her two children in it. They weren’t seriously hurt either, which I am grateful for. “Calm down, son. She is fine and Grant is on his way there to figure out what the fuck happened.” I tell him. “She could have been killed. Who the fuck those bastards were?” He growls. “That is what Grant is going to find out. He had spoken with his contacts down there, and I know they had a couple of guys watching her, but they were explici
I am so significantly over this shit. This last week has been testing my patients like no other. I hate that someone has to help me, but I am thankful for Indigo. He has been accompanying me to classes and carrying anything I need to be carried. So far, everyone has been great, and all my teachers were glad to hear that I was ok. Dylan has been great and ensures that my ribs are wrapped to help, but I still have to be careful when moving. Gareth asked me about Indigo and why he was following me. I told him what had happened, and he immediately asked if I was okay. I said yes but explained that I had a cracked rib and several bruised ribs. Indigo couldn’t sit in this class with me, so he had no idea I was talking with Gareth. Elias is also here, but he hardly ever says anything to me. There is still something hauntingly familiar about him, but I still can’t figure out why. I swear someone I know has the same colored eyes, but I can’t recall who that is. “So that guy is help
Indigo had left right after Brekkie. He was meeting with someone about his tattoo shop. I told him not to worry since Dylan had texted me and said they would be home in an hour. Mel and I sat on the couch to watch tv and wait for the guys. I was hurting, so I had no choice but to take one of my pain meds. I laid down and fell asleep at some point. I woke up to voices I knew, even if they sounded far away. That is the one thing I hate about those pain meds. They make me feel hungover. “When did we get a cat?” Arlo asks. “When I found him hungry, dirty, and in a bush on campus. This is Mel.” I said. I yawned into the back of my hand as I went to sit up. I looked down, and Mel was not happy that we were moving. I admit that I was comfortable, and so was he. I picked him up and sat him on the couch as he stared at the guys. Dylan walked around and helped me sit back up. It was getting more manageable, but it still hurt. Riley sat down, and Mel hopped into his lap, placi
I expected to be doing something different today. Classes had ended for the day when Dad called, letting me know he needed me and the other guys to get our asses to the house. I have no idea what is happening, but I sent a mass text to the guys telling them to head to the house. We would have had the girls come with us, but they had follow-up doctor's appointments. I had said goodbye to Sapphire, who still had Indigo tagging along as her helper. I will not lie; I was thrilled when he offered. I didn’t want her carrying anything; he also was a bodyguard. I know she doesn’t need a bodyguard, but with her being injured, she does, not that I will tell her that. I love the fact that she is so fucking independent, but sometimes it is annoying. Luke was still in a shitty mood. He hates the idea of Kyllyan having a little girl. “Don’t worry, mate, that little sheila will have all of us to make sure no one, especially boys, come near her.” Keegan points out. “He is right. Besid
It has been two days since those fuckers tried to kidnap my precious jewel. Kyllyan and Emery. We still aren’t sure they know about the baby or why they want Emery. I don’t think they know about the baby, which makes me wonder why they wanted Emery. I did make Sapphire go to the doctor after she came running into Mom and Dad’s place. She told me what Indigo had told her about his cousin and what happened. The doctor took some radiographs and said everything was looking good. I told him the story, and he guessed that Indigo’s cousin’s rib was likely broken in place, and when he moved, it dislodged the rib, which caused it to puncture his lung. He told us that things like that can happen but are rare. Thankfully she is feeling better and not as sore. The doctor added some muscle relaxers, which made all the difference. “Ow you little bastard. Someone is overly aggro today.” Luke mumbles. “He got you to?” Arlo asks. “Yes.” Luke replies. Mel has fully acclimated to the h
I don't know what to make of what we were just told. I was glad to hear that our car accident was that, but the fact that a crazy bitch had those guys run a woman off the road who had her young children in the car with her pisses me off. The poor husband had no idea that the other woman had fixated on him as she had. They work together, and she thought he was interested in her. He was also her boss. I would beat a bitches ass if she tried to throw herself at Dylan, but there is no way I would admit that out loud. “So Grant was able to sneak his ass onto the mainland?” I ask. “Yes, we still aren’t sure how. We are guessing that he came via boat or used a private plane. Danello has a plane, but we checked, and his plane never landed here.” Dad says. I am not surprised that they used some unknown plane to get here. The fact that they are talking with local gangs is concerning. I wasn’t surprised to find out that they knew of our accident. I look over at Kyllyan to gauge ho
Sapphire was asleep as we sat out here, continuing to talk. She had fallen asleep while Jack and Carmine looked through the pictures to see if they could see anyone besides the girls. There were a few with the same people, but since they were taken on campus, we were not surprised that we saw the same people in them. The security cameras didn’t help. We watched Mom stop by, catching Mel as he shot out and rubbed against her legs. I think we almost lost our shit when we saw him do that. We may not have had him that long, but my precious jewel loves that little thing, and I know she would have a fit if he were lost. We won’t admit it, but we guys would have been out all night until we found him. We have gotten attached to him too. “Do we know who he was?” Luke asks. “No, and he had his upper body and face covered. He knew cameras were there and avoided his face being seen on any of them. I am not sure that this was a guy.” Jack tells us. “What do you mean?” I ask. “Whoe
