KOREY "Where do you think you're going, Dakoda?" I inquire, reaching out for her elbow and swiftly turning her around to face me. I plant a kiss on her, but she pushes me away. DAKODA "Holy shit!" Stella just punched Harlan square in the nose. "You go sister." "Let's get to our classes," Kasey tells us, and we all head to our first classes of the day. Of course, I have it with Gage, and now that the guys know I'm still into them, they are on me all the time. Everyone keeps telling me that's how it was before my surfing accident and at first, I hated it, but after a while we were all joined at the hips. I can see that to an extent because when we are all at work away from each other, I'm constantly wondering how they are doing and if they are thinking of me, too. DAKODA The guys bring me back to their house and I find myself lying on the couch. Korey returns from talking to the detective and I ask him what the detective said. Gage gets angry and questions why more proof is needed. I explain that the detective wants the person responsible to admit to their actions. Kasey expresses her dislike for the situation, but assures me that it won't be like last time. She suggests getting the person to come over and talk, hoping it will help them change their ways before causing harm to themselves or others. Korey compliments me on being a good person and asks how I'm feeling. He sits at the end of the couch and places my feet on his lap. I tell him that I'm in a lot of pain and feel like I've been thrown off a surfboard. Kasey comes out of the kitchen with water and pain pills, offering further assistance. I ask if there's anything else they can do, but request to be left alone to sleep off the pain. They agree and leave, though I worry that I may hav
