57. "Secret Door"

Harriet’s POV

The man I met in the garden never left my mind. And thinking of him, I caught myself falling into sorrow, loneliness, and despair. Eating food became a job.

“Harriet, why did you stop eating? You don’t like the food? Do you want me to ask the chef to cook another dish?

“No. It's just that I don’t have the appetite.”

“It can’t be. You are getting thinner.”

I don’t remember what my life was before I lost memories.

But somehow, I thought I was accustomed to watching my food and starving myself.

“Are you still mad at me? Because of what I did before?”

I looked at Alpha Ethan.

“I already promised. I would never do that again, Harriet. Please, don’t be mad.”

I was mad when I saw Ethan f*cking another wolf.

But I didn’t get jealous, and instead, I felt disgusted.

Aside from that, I realized that I... don’t love Ethan at all.

“I will try my best,” I said.

“Yes. Please, eat a lot. I am worried about you, Harriet.”

Still, Ethan fed me, gave me room to stay, and took care of me. I
