Chapter 6

Staying up all night with Jessica they got along great, giggling and laughing, they didn’t realize it was so late until they look at the clock, “oh shit, it’s 4am.” Jessica laughs, “I don’t remember the last time I stayed up so late. Well outside of work.” The dogs laid there at there feet as they sat in the couch. Jessica had her backpack close by in case any of Jimmy’s fathers men come to start shit.

Addy smiles, Taz lays on her lap as Dutch sits on top the back of the couch. “Me neither, actually I study late, well not anymore.”

Jessica smiles, “I need to call Manuel, my daughter is coming home tonight.” Walking out and in the yard she lets the dogs go potty.

Addy gets up, grabbing her phone she looks down at it, shocked she gets up and runs outside, “ok, thank you, sir, I appreciate it.”

Jessica looks back, “oh what’s up?” She talks to Manuel, “give me a sec.”

Addy hands her the phone, watching as she reads it, “hey boss, get over here… yea, now.” Hanging up she reads the message. ‘You hurt my son and I’ll kill you and your little sugar daddy.’

Jessica hands her phone back, “Let’s wait till Manuel gets here to reply.”

A while goes by and about 10am he shows up, “your relieved of your duties, tell Rachel I said hi.” He smiles to Jessica, she nods and walks off. Manuel looks at the text message. “How did you meet this Jimmy?” He asks Addy, watching her sit in the couch next to him.

She sighs, “It was right when i joined college, we shared a virtual class and he messaged me one day. He seemed ok at first but recently the dogs have been annoying him. They never have liked him since the first day we met but he still tried to become friends in the beginning. I just don’t understand what’s going on!”

Manuel replies to the message, “you touch my new recruit and I’ll kill your son, just because your being a dick your going to get a little package.”knowing this would start a all out war he growls to himself.

Pulling his phone out he calls his henchmen, “get the prisoner ready.” Hanging up he looks at her, “I suggest you and your animals come with me to my place, the attic is turned into a fully functioning apartment. You’ll be safe and you have beautiful windows for the cats to look out of. There’s a door that leads to a porch and then stairs down to the garden in the back,” he was offering her a good deal.

Addy nods, “ok, I’d feel safer at night, also I like Jessica.” She smiles, “I’ll go pack up my things,” running off she packed her essentials and sentimental objects with her, coming back in she sees his guards in the livingroom she hands the bags off to them, “thank you all again,” noticing they are the same four men the night they took her away from her abusive father.

Manuel walks to the kitchen, “where are the dog treats Addy?” He says looking through the cabinets, “on top the fridge! Cat treats are there too.”

Manuel grabs some decent size milk bones and hold them up, “sit.” They dogs sit, smirking he hands them to the two good boys. Shaking the container of treats all the cats come running over. All five more up at him, Quinn fluffs her tail like a feather duster, her brown fur with white strips and having white eyeliner pattern around her eyes. Dutch the black male screeches, standing on his back legs. The two white Siamese boys meow but no sound comes out, they both had stub tails, Ching had his stubby tail abs Taz had his stubby tail was curled like a pigs tail.

He laughs as he places a hand full or three to then, putting them smiling, “cute little fuckers.” He looks up at Addy and sees her standing there blushing, having maroon heart sun glasses on she puts the harnesses on the dogs and attach there chain leashes to them. After there treats she puts the three Siamese kittens in one together and Dutch and Molly together in another. Grabbing the two cat carries she sees Manuel hold the chains, “inside cats freak out when they are outside, go take them to the SUV and I’ll lock the place up.”

Addy nods and runs to the vehicle, a man opening the chain link gate for her and the other opens the door for her. Smiling she jumps in with the cats, it was a windy day, the news said the high for today would be 82 degrees.

Manuel holds the dogs chains in one hand and locking the door with the other, hearing the click he pulls his key out and walks toward them. Loading the dogs in the back he shuts the trunk door and he walks around and in by Addy.

Addy blushes as they were kinda squished together, the cat carriers taking up a lot of room on the seat.

Manuel blushes, he sat taller then her, looking down at her his gaze locks on her low cut shirt, blushing seeing her chest squeezed. Looking away he had a red tint to his cheeks.

Addy felt the uneasy stare, she looks the opposite direction, embarrassed, “I agree to your business deal,” she says, might as well make some money while she is stuck with him.

Manuel looks at her, “good, I’m… happy?” He questions what he just said, he wasn’t use to sharing emotions like that but this girl somehow made him feel good, her smile fluttered his heart. He let his guard down around her, “yes, happy.” He says this time.

Watching the road she blushes more, watching the dogs she giggles as they watch the people they drive by.

Manuel pets them, “I’ll get them some bones, I’m expecting a friend to come drop off some beef meat in a couple of days.”

Pulling onto a dirt road they drive for a good 10 miles and turn in a drive, stopping at the pin pad device the man types in a number and the gate opens, pulling in he drives up the gravel road. Stopping in front of the mansion they all get out, “I’ll get the dogs, also we have a elevator since we have so many floors,” he smirks feeling proud of his elevator. Clicking the button by the closed doors, hearing a hum the doors open, everyone walks in and stands there. The dogs look at the men and had absolutely no problem with anyone. The cats meowed scared. “It’s ok, we are almost there.”

After a minute or so, the doors open and its looks like a cleaning supply room, about 6 feet ahead was a door, the men walk ahead and open the door. Walking through addy smiles, it was built rustic style, having a sky light in the dinning room and livingroom. Gasping as she walks in, “beautiful I love it!”
