Chapter 74. A Piece Of Mercy

Mike pulled Jennifer to sit in one of the corners of the morgue. It left Emmy, who was frowning at the couple.

"How did you get here? There are restrictions outside, did you know? It's dangerous now," Mike warned Jennifer in a low tone. Jennifer pursed her lips, acting cute in front of Mike.

"I can't call you. Didn't you promise to go on a date with me?" Jennifer replied whiningly. Mike let out a heavy breath, then shook his head slowly.

"Now things are different, Jen. We can't date like you want."

"We can still do it at my house. We can have dinner and be alone. Come on, you promised!" Jennifer replied, whining more at Mike. Mike looked away and glimpsed that Emma was busy fixing things on one of the tables and didn't want to look at him.

"You'd better go and stay at home, okay? Don't wander outside." Mike looked back at Jennifer and gave her advice.
