39: Mind Leads

I knew the sheriff was only doing his job. But he still annoyed the fuck out of me. And he was driving slow as hell. To make matters worse.

Jenna didn’t seem as pissed as I did. Which is a good thing at least. I didn’t want her worrying about this. And thankfully, they didn’t hit her with whatever they did to me.

I’ll need to go to the doctor and make sure it wasn’t anything dangerous. There are a few drugs that could cause real damage to wolves. And right now, we couldn’t handle any type of weakness or errors.

We gave our statements and he assured us that he’ll keep in touch and let us know whatever they find out. Jenna thanked him when he offered to drive us home. Saying we’ll catch a cab. I didn’t know why she said that but I didn't ask either. Trusting she knew what she was doing.
