She had lustrous brown hair which drapped over my fingers as i ran my hands through them. With her passed out on the chair, just one side of her face was exposed to the light in the den. I watched her chest slowly rise and fall and her eyes remained shut.

“What were you thinking conversing with them uncle?” I asked as the sound of controlled footsteps neared my position.

“It was harmless, Maya wasn’t going to shoot.” My uncle Matteo replied as he squatted down to my side.

“Yet she was ready to pull the trigger and blow your brains off, Nico told me that she shot at him. He was bleeding when i found him.” I said stadning up to my feet as i peeled away from the girl my uncle called Maya.

I stared at her figure, she had a strong athletic build and her face, her eyes even- held the depth of a fighter. She was a tough one.
