“How are-” i stopped and turned to where i had just come from, eyes were on me and the men i had put to the ground where standing up again.

“There you are.” he muttered and followed my line of gaze. “Should i ask what happened?”

“You two should drop to your knees.” A voice from behind Malcolm said and instead of Malcolm to move he remained on the spot with his eyes fixated on me. Maybe i had a busted lip but it wasn’t enough to have him staring at me like that.

“Get down on your knees.” the voice repeated and Malcolm turned giving me a view of what was inside and from where i stood i recognized the man sitting on the chair.

“Pete.” his name slipped off my lips and the dark eyes i had always known pierced at me.

“Maya.” he muttered and i pushed past Malcolm who didnt try and stop me, i ignored the horrid scene and focused on the man whom i was here for.
