Chapter 68

Isabelle curled in the lounge chair right at the garden rooftop. Christian had the gray chair moved up there for his girlfriend to relax in whenever she felt like it. He was downstairs in the main house, preparing dinner. The man was still pissed at Isabelle's mother; he found her egocentric.

"Hello." Isabelle pressed the receiver button on her wireless headphones when it rang. She didn't bother checking who the caller was; her eyes were shut, enjoying the sunset.

"Belle." Isabelle recognized the voice in an instant—the source of her nightmares. Her eyes flew open in an instant, landing on the phone screen where the caller's name was displayed. She directed her hand over the call button to end the call, her mood transitioning from bad to worse.

"If you know what's best for you, don't go back there." Sam voiced out before Isabelle hung up.
